Indie creative agency Designstein renames as RUN and wins 2degrees business pitch
Indie creative agency RUN has won the 2degrees employer brand business in a pitch against two other well-respected agencies.
Says Leigh Peters, head of recruitment at 2degrees: “like 2degrees, RUN are taking on the big guys and challenging the status quo, a combination that really resonated with us.
“We were impressed by RUN’s refreshingly creative ideas. RUN is also a great fit with our values and culture which is very important to us. We’re looking forward to working with the RUN team to showcase our great workplace to the employment market,” said Peters.
Formerly Designstein, RUN is due to officially launch at an event in Ponsonby later this month.
Says Raymond McKay (pictured above, right with fellow director Laura Cibilich), creative director, RUN: “Our agency originally started as a design studio, but more recently our offering has grown to be more of a creative advertising and strategic based design agency. The new name better reflects our current offering.”
The win comes at a time when many larger organisations are looking at partnering with indie agencies, for their flexible nature, adaptability and hands-on approach.
Says McKay: “We are delighted with the news. It just goes to show big companies are recognising the value in working with boutique agencies to get great creative outcomes. We are looking forward to working with the 2degrees team – they are a great addition to our growing portfolio of clients.”

Awesome news team!
Love your work guys!
Thanks Clem!
Congrats Ray & Laura – fantastic news!! Big ups for the indie’s … go RUN!
I’m not in advertising so maybe my comments are out of touch but I don’t know what is worse; a small telco pitching their “employment brand” or some website making a story about it. What’s involved here – some designs for digital job adverts? maybe an internal ra ra session? Perhaps some values on a board? Give me a break.
The old I’m not in advertising trick…
Good stuff bro!
Yes “Gavin”, you’re out of touch. Employment brands are increasingly big business, and for some companies are just as important an investment as their marketing to consumers.
And a small agency like RUN, built on hard work and a great attitude, deserve to announce their victories just as much as the big guys. It’s part of getting your name out there and growing your business.
Stop being a negative cock, you’ll live longer.
Good work Laura and Ray.
Thanks Mark!
Fair enough Mark. Good luck RUN.
Nice work guys. Congrats.
Thanks Peth!
