Day 2 @ Cannes Lions through the CB camera
Day Two at the Cannes Lions saw the week really kick off. The streets, bars and restaurants really filled up as more and more delegates arrived at the Palais for the festival. The Cannes Lions first award show saw winning work taking centre-stage in a red carpet Awards Show where the PR, Outdoor, Glass, Print & Publishing and Promo & Activation Lions were announced. The show opened with an electric performance by The 6 Pack Band, the transgender group who scored the Glass Grand Prix for Mindshare Mumbai at last year’s Festival. The huge opening gala followed with 5,000 delegates taking over the Carlton Beach. Earlier on CB scored an invitation to the lovely FBI Recruitment lunch on La Guerite, a small island 15 minutes boat ride away from Cannes. This was followed by drinks at the Majestic and then Campaign Brief hosted a Welcome Cocktail soirée for several hundred Aussie and Kiwi delegates at the Grand Hotel, thanks to our generous sponsors Photoplay and Fin Design + Effects. In between all this was the AOL party where Stevie Nicks took to the stage to entertain guests. Only in Cannes!!
