Mango hires (1).jpgMango has kickstarted the year with two new senior appointments to reflect its growth and focus.

Brianna Elder (left) joins as group business director, responsible for some of the agency’s major clients, with a particular focus on food and lifestyle.  Prior to joining Mango, she ran her own agency, and before that was a director of leading PR company, Haystac (now MKTG).

It is Elder’s second time at Mango and managing director Claudia Macdonald says she is thrilled to welcome her back.

Says Macdonald: “Brie was a fantastic PR person then and she’s even better now. We’re looking forward to her input and ideas across a range of PR, experiential and social activity for our clients.”

Zoe Virtue (above right) has also joined as head of digital and social, from her role as senior social media director at Fuse-OMD.  With more than six years’ experience in the digital/social media space, Virtue brings a wealth of knowledge from her experience at Air New Zealand and other agencies, including Sugar & Partners.

Says Macdonald: “As one of this country’s biggest influencer and social marketing PR agencies, Mango is excited to attract someone of Zoe’s calibre to lead the growth of this important area of our business.

“Zoe will work alongside our PR and Experiential teams as well as DDB’s Digital offering to provide clients with strategic and integrated programmes.”

Mango had a stellar year in 2018 with a number of new clients and projects added to its portfolio. These included some of Auckland’s most talked about launches, from the Instagram-friendly Holey Moley Golf Club in the Viaduct, to the opening of SO/Auckland and H&M’s flagship store in Commercial Bay.

Adds Macdonald: “We firmly believe we have some of the best clients and represent the best brands in New Zealand.  We’re looking forward to making them impossible to ignore again this year.”
