Junior Rhinos put new Rhino Flooring to the test in Carpet Court’s latest campaign via Camistry

Carpet Court has launched its latest TVC via video marketing agency Camistry, to support the launch of its new Rhino EverCore hard flooring and a new look for its Rhino brand which also has carpet and underlay in its range.

Ten years ago Carpet Court used a USA-made advert showing a real rhino living on carpet for two weeks and it cleaned up like new. This time round they didn’t have a real rhino so went looking for a next generation Rhino test much closer to home. What better way to test flooring than with two teams of energetic and boisterous young rugby players from the Stokes Valley Junior Rhinos Rugby Club.

The campaign highlights Rhino’s latest hard flooring range and carpet by showcasing how it can stand up to any occasion, demonstrated by the two teams covered in mud and celebrating their game of rugby.

The ad shows Stokes Valley Junior Rhinos players getting stuck into one of their weekly rugby games on a local muddy pitch. After the game the players head into their changing room to put the new Rhino hard flooring and carpet to the ultimate test. When it comes time to cleaning, both the waterproof and dent resistant hard floor and stain-resistant carpet come up good as new.

Says Victoria Lloydd, head of marketing, Carpet Court: “We decided to reach out to the Stokes Valley Junior Rhinos Rugby Club in Lower Hutt to be part of this TVC because it’s a little club with a big heart. We knew immediately they would be a perfect fit for the campaign and loved their community spirit. They say avoid working with animals or children, but we like a challenge and as rhinos are hard to come by we took the next best approach. What better way to demonstrate mess by putting the product to the junior rhino test. We know when it comes to choosing flooring, Kiwis want durability and that is what our Rhino flooring offers. As a business, it was nice to be able to support a local team that is run by parents who put time and effort into providing a strong community for their kids and families.”

Nicola Bonica, Stokes Valley Junior Rhinos committee member, says the team are so excited to be part of such a big campaign for Carpet Court: “When the team found out they’d get to be on TV they were so excited, this is huge for them and it’s great to put Stokes Valley on the map to the rest of New Zealand too.”

The new TVC has launched with 15, 30, 45 second spots across TV and digital and 60 second spots across digital, and pre-roll across OnDemand on TVNZ and Mediaworks.

This campaign was produced by Camistry, and marks a great partnership between Camistry and Carpet Court as they work together to further cement the brand as a go-to durable option for Kiwis looking for beautiful new flooring options.
