Publicis Groupe New Zealand builds local team with key hires Lucy Sparks and Jayde Hill

Publicis Groupe has further strengthened its presence in the New Zealand market, announcing two NZ-based roles to support its growing suite of local brands including Saatchi & Saatchi, Starcom, Zenith, Frontside and the recently acquired MBM and Digitas Affinity ID.

Lucy Sparks (left) has joined Publicis Groupe as business development manager and is working across all Publicis Groupe agencies in New Zealand, while being closely integrated into the ANZ Publicis network, to allow clients seamless access to the complete breadth of Groupe capabilities.

Sparks has extensive experience in account management across a wide range of sectors from Banking and FMCG to tourism and automotive at high profile local agencies, including two previous terms at Publicis agency Saatchi & Saatchi.

Says Sparks: “We have some of the best people in the business and a truly collaborative culture. Now, with the addition of MBM and Digitas Affinity ID, we are even better positioned to offer end to end marketing transformation to clients. I’m excited to share our expanded capabilties with the New Zealand market.”

Publicis Groupe has also appointed Jayde Hill (right) as people and culture business partner. Hill is focused on the development of talent in New Zealand while working in close partnership with her Australian Groupe colleagues. Hill’s international experience spans talent acquisition and management, employer branding and employee wellbeing roles in Australia and the UK.

Says Hill: “When I first learned about the Publicis Groupe’s collaborative ‘Power of One’ philosophy, the attraction was immediate, and it was clear from speaking with the people here that the Groupe genuinely stood by this way of working. Staff are empowered to ensure clients come first whilst keeping their own happiness at the forefront. Our people strategy aligns with our business strategy, which in my opinion is the perfect recipe for success.”

Michael Rebelo, Publicis Groupe ANZ CEO, says the introduction of such key roles has already had a wide-spread positive impact on the agencies, and is further evidence of the commitment Publicis Groupe has to the New Zealand market.

Says Rebelo: “Lucy and Jayde are proving to be instrumental in helping us strengthen our culture and our collective capabilities as we grow, ensuring the best outcomes for both our people and clients.”
