ARC EDIT and Colenso BBDO shortlisted for Spark ‘Generation Voice’ at the Immortal Awards 2019

The shortlist for the Immortal Awards 2019 has been announced today, ahead of the final round of judging in New York on Friday 15th November.

In total, 74 projects from across the world made this year’s shortlist. The 64 highest scoring pieces of work from the first round of judging, plus a further 10 projects that split the jury, will be debated in a final round of discussions at MPC NY.

FINCH and Clemenger BBDO have been shortlisted for United Nations Development Programme ‘The Lion’s Share’, whilst Sydney post house ARC EDIT has been shortlisted for Spark ‘Generation Voice’ via Colenso BBDO.

Entries to this year’s Immortal Awards were up 36%, with the number of entrant companies increasing by 22%. The shortlist contains work from creative companies from 20 different countries.

Says Matt Cooper, founder, Little Black Book: “After the success of the inaugural Immortal Awards, we’re thrilled to unveil this year’s shortlist. There was a huge increase in both the number of entries and number of entrant companies. I am absolutely overjoyed that we now get all this amazing work to go through and judge with a wonderful jury. I’m immensely proud that our award is at no extra cost to our members, it really is just about the work. That is something I will always be super proud of, as I believe awards to be important. We can’t wait to see the results at the end of the week!”

Launched last year, The Immortal Awards challenges the way our industry celebrates and benchmarks talent in this business. By making the award free-to-enter for members and limiting each company to a maximum of five entries, work from across the globe has been judged on a level playing field.

This year’s jury is comprised of the most accomplished creative professionals from around the world, blending award winners with leading names in the brand, agency, production and post-production worlds. Immortals trophies are reserved for creative executions that jurors believe will live long in the memory of their audiences and set a benchmark in creativity for future generations. There were just four Immortal winners in the inaugural year, with a further 12 projects receiving Commendations for their excellence.

Says Paul Monan, Awards Director: “Firstly, congratulations to those entries that made it onto the shortlist. The bar was set incredibly high by our first ever jury and that standard has not dropped at all as the jury cut this year’s entries down to the shortlist. It will be another tough task for those in New York to decide which of the shortlisted projects are worthy of Immortal status and we’re really looking forward to debating and deliberating at MPC on Friday.”

Winners will be announced the week of the 25th November. Further information will be published on Little Black Book’s channels in the coming weeks.
