Paul Catmur founder and ECD at BC&F Dentsu is releasing the latest two episodes of his advertising Truth and Soul Inc. featuring Toby Talbot, CCO at Saatchi & Saatchi New Zealand and Lisa Fedyszyn former ECD at Ogilvy New Zealand.
Says Catmur: “With the last couple of podcasts we officially became the most listened to Marketing podcast in New Zealand, so a massive thank you to everyone who listened and shared*. We’re also apparently #44 in France which is unexpected, but Bonjour to everybody up there.
“If you enjoy listening please share it with your chums. We’re only doing this for fun and it’s much more fun with a few listeners, even if they happen to be Cheese-Eating Surrender-Monkeys.
*We know what you’re thinking, but that’s out of all marketing podcasts, not just ones that were produced in NZ. Honest.
Adds Catmur: “Talbot has an amazing track record of award-winning work in his time as creative leader at agencies in New Zealand, London and Sydney. We talk about his criss-crossing across hemispheres, commuting across the Tasman, and his early meetings with advertising legends Dave Trott and Paul Ardern. I learn never to leave the microphone on when I go for a loo break.
“Lisa is one of the brightest young stars in the New Zealand advertising industry, or she would be if she wasn’t from Melbourne. As well as being the Axis Convenor of judges in 2020 she is currently unemployed but we find out where her new job will be!* Lisa talks about her award-winning experiences in Aussie, New Zealand, and Droga 5 in New York with partner Jono. We also discuss getting work-life balance right, ‘the agency of one’ as a way of moving your career forward, and the thin line between ‘strong encouragement’ and ‘bullying’ by creative directors.”
*Well, we ask.
