Publicis Groupe NZ launches  flexible working framework Across Digitas Affinity ID, Frontside, MBM, Saatchi & Saatchi, Starcom and Zenith

Publicis Groupe New Zealand has today announced Publicis Liberté, a new flexible working approach for their NZ-based agencies.

Publicis Groupe ANZ has spent the last 18 months developing the new flexible framework, publishing internal whitepapers, conducting internal and external interviews, technical audits and more recently, holding staff training workshops across all levels of the organisations. As part of the new approach, a range of measurement tools and processes have also been developed to support agency leaders, managers and staff to deal with new situations as they arise.

Michael Rebelo, Publicis Groupe’s CEO of New Zealand and Australia said that being able to offer staff flexibility is critical to the future of our industry and ensuring we attract and retain the best talent.

Says Rebelo: “At a time of tremendous change in our business and the workplace, we need to be more progressive and adaptive as an employer. Allowing our people to fit work in with their lives and not the other way round will ensure our people are happy, healthy and productive. Ultimately, that makes them better partners for our clients, and able to deliver better outcomes for their businesses.”

Adds Paul Wilson Managing Director of Saatchi & Saatchi New Zealand: “People are our most valuable asset and we need to recognise that where, how and when they work best is unique to the individual. Most flexibility policies come with lots of conditions and long-winded documents that often get filed away and forgotten. Our programme is built on trust and behaviours.”

The six flexible behaviours are: Set Your Boundaries, Trust One Another, Focus on Outputs, We Are All Different, Communicate Effectively, Use Tech to Your Advantage.

The full roll out of Publicis Liberté across the Groupe’s ANZ offices will be completed in February.
