Audio specialist agency Eardrum set to launch ‘Earfest’ Festival of Audio to celebrate 30th B’day

Australia’s first audio-centric arts festival is set to launch in September. EarFest will feature original works from thirty writers, actors, comedians, poets and performers. The pieces were commissioned by audio specialist agency Eardrum, who wanted to mark its 30th anniversary by supporting the creative community.

Says Ralph van Dijk, founder, Eardrum: “Covid-19 has devastated the art’s sector. This Festival allows us to celebrate the power of audio but more importantly support those with the skills to harness it at the time they need it most.”

The artists include a diverse mix of poets, comedians, musicians and actors who have each created an original item no longer than seven minutes. Each day of September subscribers will receive a link that takes them to the best seat in the theatre of their mind.

Admission is complimentary by registering here, and a voluntary donation to the Shepherd Centre, a charity to help deaf or hearing-impaired children, is welcomed.
