New Zealand Government: Unite Against COVID-19
Clemenger BBDO Wellington
A human response to a health crisis, Unite Against COVID-19 centred around our people, not the virus. It galvanised New Zealanders around a central idea – one we could all rally behind, take pride in and own. A platform of beauty, hope, humour and heart, every touchpoint reinforced our individual role in achieving our collective purpose. With clarity. Humanity. And sensitivity. No pandemic response has been so loved and cherished by its people; becoming ingrained in Kiwi culture, and earning global hearts and praise.

Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet: The Public Service Banger
Colenso BBDO and Clemenger BBDO Wellington
New Zealand had successfully eliminated Covid-19, and the country was heading into summer virus-free – with large gatherings such as music festivals going ahead. However, too many Kiwis were adopting a complacent attitude towards health & safety. Our objective was to target the most complacent NZers; young people attending large music festivals and encourage them to wash & sanitise their hands, scan QR codes at events, and turn on their bluetooth enabled NZ Covid tracer app. The problem was, our audience was there for a good time, not for a boring government announcement. That’s why the solution had to be more than a message, but a memorable festival moment which showed the government truly cared about their health, but also, their fun.

New Zealand Human Rights Commission: Voice of Racism
Clemenger BBDO Wellington
Most of us are more than willing to say we’re anti-racist. But how can we actively and successfully fight racism if we don’t know what it can sound like? VoiceOfRacism.co.nz allows anyone to feel the burden of relentless racism. Thousands of real microaggressions were gathered for the experience, and each user is given a completely unique, unpredictable and endless experience. Voice of Racism is now used as a learning tool in government, sports, business, education and media.

Waka Kotahi: Doors
Clemenger BBDO Wellington
People know the drink-driving limits. They know the Police are out there. And they know that drinking increases their chances of crashing. But for some drivers, complacency’s kicked in; and they’ve made a habit of risking the unknown. DOORS throws drink drivers into a dark cocktail of good nights gone bad. Confronting their complacency with the harsh reality that it could all go wrong in an instant, it shows that bad ends to good nights don’t start the moment you skid off the road, get busted, or overshoot that corner – they’re triggered the moment you open your car door.
