MBM launches virtual events for non-profits to help keep giving going post lockdown

MBM has launched a new social initiative to support non-profit organisations with a virtual seminar series, “Charity Chats”, where key industry players will share their insights on how to keep giving going in challenging times.

The sessions will be geared towards non-profit marketers and those who work with them to inspire and inform, but are open to all interested parties.

The two events this month include:

Wednesday 8th Dec 3pm – A Charity Chat: How to Keep Giving Going in Challenging Times.
A panel with contributors from Google, Stuff and Trees That Count. The session will share the latest industry research and lead a discussion with representatives from both local and global media organisations, as well as an award-winning charity, around what is and isn’t working to help disseminate charitable marketing information in challenging times.

Wednesday 15th Dec 3pmA Charity Workshop: Facebook Training to Keep Giving Going.
A hands-on workshop with Facebook’s Ben O’Sullivan, enabling attendees to apply key learnings to maximise the use of the high reach platform to keep giving going with tools available today.

On the production, Emily Isle, MBM head of digital media says: “We are always looking for ways to give back at MBM and have been particularly mindful recently, of the fact that many non-profits are struggling within the current climate. From stretching money further to reinventing community and volunteer solutions in the wake of pandemic challenges – they have more work and needs than ever to meet, but a whole new, difficult market to navigate. We had the idea to bring together a panel of global and local insights on what is and isn’t working, and the “Charity Chats” concept was born. We are really excited to host the events and hope to contribute useful inspiration and ideas to the broader non-profit marketing industry.”
