Mercer NZ launches new initiative to help Kiwi women get financially lit via Daylight

Mercer NZ today launches The Table — an integrated editorial platform, designed via Daylight to support Kiwi women, of any lifestyle and stage, towards financial freedom.

Inspired by the very place major financial deals are discussed, debated, and signed, The Table calls for women to pull up a seat and build their knowledge about money via articles, podcasts, infographics and explainer films.

Says Sarah Whitelock, head of consumer wealth leader at Mercer: “The Table has been created to encourage wāhine to come together and talk – unashamedly and uncensored – about all things money. We’ve launched this platform to demystify money for women through practical content, and we’re looking forward to empowering women to save more, earn more and grow their wealth.”

The Table is supported by Power. Money. Security., a brand-new podcast series hosted by comedian and writer Michèle A’Court from Stuff/Ensemble for a new financially free generation of Kiwi women, full of practical tips, tricks and interviews. Episode one explores insightful real-world experience and advice from guests Retirement Commissioner Jane Wrightson, TwentySevenNames’ Anjali Burnett and Glenys Wilson from Mercer NZ.

Says host Michèle A’Court: “You know the saying that ‘every dollar you spend is a vote for the kind of world you want to live in? Well, we want you to have some more votes so we can start building that world. While feminism and capitalism have many opposing principles, like it or not we are living in a capitalist society, and more money for women translates to more and better options and ultimately better futures.”

Says Lee Lowndes, general manager, Daylight: “We’ve loved bringing this kaupapa to life; working with a predominantly female crew, casting thoughtfully and building a brand world for an initiative that we genuinely believe in has been really rewarding.”

A supporting campaign launches today via OOH, radio, digital and social and is part of an ongoing commitment by Mercer to support Kiwi women to build their money confidence and, ultimately, their wealth.
