CB Exclusive – Photos leaked of strange ritual in Dentsu Creative’s basement

CB Exclusive – Grainy photos of what appears to be a weird, cult ceremony in the company basement of Dentsu Creative have emerged this week.

In the photos a group of employees surround a circle of candles as two robed and masked figures lead them in some kind of ritual. Four people from the group, all graduates from Media Design School, are handed something, although it’s not clear what has been handed over.

Joint CCOs Brett Colliver and Mike Felix, who resemble likenesses to the two masked figures, refused to comment.

The MDS graduates seen taking part in the ritual – Rose Heron, Lucy Yeaji Lim, Frey McCahon-Jones and Joseph Faundo – gained a lot of recognition during their time at MDS with multiple shortlists at MadStars (including Bronze, Crystal awards), Google Student Axis finalists (announcing April) and top 3 placements at Orca Student awards with one of the team being recognized as the Student Orca Award Winner.

Kate Humphries, programme director of MDS was able to shed a little light on the dimly lit situation: “When an offer comes through to students there is a lot of excitement and whispered conversations in the halls here at MDS. When both teams received an offer from Dentsu Creative these guys were off whispering so much I started calling them the illuminati. It seems the team at Dentsu Creative decided to leverage this to give the teams a memorable first day.”

Another source, who requested to remain anonymous said that Dentsu Creative has set a vision for the company of creating ‘work worth talking about’ and this may have been a way to instill that in the grads on their first day, but admitted it was “definitely a fire hazard with all the candles.” They believed the item handed over was the teams first brief.

Despite being clearly visible in some of the photos, CEO of dentsu Rob Harvey denied any knowledge of the event.

Certainly a first day worth talking about and we look forward to seeing more from the young team at Dentsu Creative.
