FCB Aotearoa promotes top senior creative team Alan Jones and Angelo An to creative directors

FCB Aotearoa senior creatives Alan Jones and Angelo An have been promoted to creative directors.

Jones and An began working together at FCB back in 2011 before moving to M&C Saatchi London in 2015 where they worked on Royal Mail, NatWest, Peroni, and Ballantine’s Whisky, to name a few.

Upon returning to FCB in 2021, the pair have worked on multiple award-winning campaigns such as ‘Toll Booth’ & ‘Through My Eyes’ for Waka Kotahi, ‘How To Do Nothing’ for Te Hiringa Hauora and most recently, ‘The Second Sun’ for Mercury Energy.

Over the course of their careers they have won multiple Cannes Lions, D&AD, Immortal Awards, Gold at One Show and AXIS Grand Prixs. They’re recognised as top 10 ranked Creatives on BestAds over the past decade and in 2023 An and Jones were named Creative Team of the Year at the 44th AWARD Awards, held in Sydney.

Says Leisa Wall and Peter Vegas, co CCOs of FCB: “Alan and Angelo are a class act. They’re passionate about the work, great with clients and first to offer help to other teams in the department. They were always going to make great creative directors so we are super excited to watch them develop.”

Says Jones and An: “Our goal has always simply been to make work that people (and ourselves) would want to see in the world. And now we’re officially in lower middle management hopefully we can help more of our teams and clients do just that. So, this promotion means a lot to us and it means even more to be doing it alongside our friends at the agency where it all began. Exciting times and swankier email signatures ahead.”
