Genesis helps Kiwis stay warm this winter in latest campaign via Bastion Shine and PHD

With winter fast approaching Genesis is supporting warm, healthy homes for Kiwis in need and is calling on New Zealanders to get behind the cause with the launch of its latest campaign via Bastion Shine and PHD.

With up to 45% of heat escaping through windows in uninsulated homes, poorly fitted or thin curtains allow heat to escape out the window, increasing power use.

Genesis has partnered with three community organisations across Aotearoa, that are helping families improve the warmth of their homes and manage their energy use, by providing quality curtains and other services.

Genesis will be matching donations made to these three organisations between 28th April and 27th June, up to the total value of $100,000.

Since 2010, Genesis has supported Wellington’s Sustainability Trust and Christchurch’s Community Energy Action curtain banks. In 2022, Genesis extended its support to help people in need in Northland and Auckland, through a partnership with Habitat for Humanity Northern.

Says Stephen Imm, general manager of brand and marketing at Genesis: “Care is at the heart of Genesis and we’re proud to have longstanding partnerships with community groups that are helping to create warm, healthy homes. Our brand platform, featuring George and her family, has provided the versatility to showcase how multi-faceted the Genesis brand is, and we’re pleased to release this next iteration encouraging care in our communities.”

Launched in June 2022, this is the sixth execution from Genesis featuring George and her family, showcasing Genesis products, services, and community initiatives. The platform has proven highly successful at engaging New Zealanders with Genesis.

Bastion Shine managing director, Toby Sellers says a key focus of this year’s campaign is telling the stories of the organisations Genesis supports, via a partnership with TVNZ, to help drive donations and increase the number of households supported: “We’re really excited to share the great work Genesis does with community organisations, with the whole country.”

In addition to the TVNZ partnership being led by PHD, New Zealanders will see the Genesis campaign rolling out across social, digital, and retail OOH.
