Special PR appoints Georgie Zonneveld and Harry Willis to PR director roles

Following a successful year Special PR has expanded its team to accommodate its growth with the appointment of two new hires Georgie Zonneveld and Harry Willis as PR directors.


Zonneveld joins Special PR from Mango with almost a decade’s worth of experience as an accomplished PR consultant. Having worked in both Australian and New Zealand markets, she has played a pivotal role in leading campaigns for a diverse range of global and local brands, including Netflix, Nespresso, Beats by Dre, Patrón, Grey Goose, Icebreaker and Nestlé.

At Special PR, Zonneveld’s remit is to help deliver strategic and creative PR solutions for key accounts across the consumer portfolio, including KFC and Pizza Hut.

Says Zonneveld: “I’ve always been impressed by Special PR’s distinctive approach to campaigns, blending ambitious and creative ideas with a clear strategic purpose. This is an exciting next step for me in my career, and I’m excited to join the team to deliver some of the country’s most impactful and fame-driving campaigns.”

Willis joins from Wright Communications, where he led a wide range of campaigns and executed communications strategies across a diverse roster of clients, spanning the corporate, consumer and non-profit sectors. Most recently he has worked with global brands such as Toyota, Lexus, Unilever and Glad.

Willis will work across Special PR’s lifestyle accounts, including Jaguar Land Rover, Tourism Fiji and DB Breweries.

The pair join Special PR following an exceptional period of hard-won success and growth. The agency was named ‘PR Agency of the Year’ by Campaign Asia, along with gold and silver accolades from the Effie and Pressie Awards.
