The Work 2024 Contenders: Ogilvy New Zealand

Breast Cancer Foundation New Zealand: Reminders are everywhere
Ogilvy New Zealand
There’s a 95% chance of surviving breast cancer if it’s detected by a mammogram. But screening numbers have dropped since COVID. The Breast Cancer Foundation needed an always on campaign to remind women to book their life-saving screening. The funny thing about breasts is, once they’re on your mind, you begin to see them everywhere. ‘Reminders are everywhere’ juxtaposes breast-like objects in everyday life with a headline suggesting that maybe it’s a sign to book your mammogram. Effectively turning every breast-shaped object in the world into an execution of our always-on reminder campaign.

wildbean cafe: Drives you cravey
Ogilvy New Zealand
When you’re driving, your mind wanders. Mostly to food. And the longer you think about it, the bigger and more out of control your cravings get. To re-launch wildbean cafe in Australasia, we created a campaign that tapped into the curious world of hungry people stuck in cars.

Te Kahui Tika Tangata / Human Rights Commission: New Zealand Truism
Ogilvy New Zealand
To many, Aotearoa is a picture-perfect postcard. But behind the glistening lakes and snow-capped mountains lies an uncomfortable truth. NZ performs poorly across several international human rights scores. In reality, people’s basic human rights to housing, equal rights and fair pay are under threat. The majority of more privileged New Zealanders are unaware of this situation, and therefore not able to help make a change. The Human Rights Commission needed to shake them out of this complacency and turn their shock into positive action. By leveraging the image we like to portray to the world through tourism, New Zealand Truism aimed to deliver a powerful wake-up call.
