Retail entrepreneur Lynden Mason taps Impact PR for new consultancy venture

Retail entrepreneur Lynden Mason, co-founder of the nation’s largest hairdressing group, has appointed Auckland-based public relations agency Impact PR to support the launch of his new consulting firm.

The move comes after Mason’s recent exit from Vivo, the nationwide hairdressing firm he helped build into a network of 83 studios generating over $50 million in annual revenue.

Mason (pictured above), a registered optometrist who also launched the country’s first online retailer of contact lenses and a chain of optometry clinics, has now shifted his focus from the hairdressing industry to philanthropic efforts and consultancy, selected Impact PR for their B2B marketing expertise and proven track record in elevating business profiles.

Says Mason: “Impact PR’s strategic approach and deep understanding of the New Zealand media landscape made them the ideal choice for this next chapter in my career. Their experience in supporting entrepreneurs and their commitment to crafting compelling narratives align perfectly with my vision for the new consultancy.”

Fleur Revell-Devlin, director of Impact PR, expressed her enthusiasm about the partnership: “We are thrilled to work with Lynden Mason as he embarks on this exciting new journey. Our team has extensive experience in supporting entrepreneurs during pivotal transitions, and we are committed to helping Lynden achieve his goals. His impressive entrepreneurial history and visionary approach make this an inspiring collaboration.”

Mason’s new consulting firm, Windsock Consulting, aims to leverage his extensive business acumen in the retail sector and innovative leadership approach to assist other businesses in achieving sustainable growth and success.

Mason will be supported by his wife Tereze Taber, a brand development specialist who played an instrumental role in Vivo’s rebranding and rapid growth. The new venture is set to make a significant impact in the consultancy sector, sharing leadership insights and strategies to benefit a wide range of industries across New Zealand.
