One NZ sets out to change the way people buy phones with ‘One Wallet’ via Deloitte Digital

One NZ and Deloitte Digital have teamed up to launch One Wallet, a new platform designed to change the way New Zealanders buy phones, and it’s just the first in a series of new experiences that the two will partner on to transform the way that One NZ shows up for its customers.

 

One Wallet is a digital wallet that One NZ will load up for its customers to spend on a new phone. With new and engaging ways to build their balance in the pipeline, the aim is to simplify the scattergun of acquisition offers and channel that value towards helping existing customers get what they really want.

The launch of One Wallet also marks the start of a partnership between One NZ and Deloitte Digital, combining technology and ideas to make being a One NZ customer an amazing experience. It’s a partnership that capitalises on the broad capabilities of Deloitte Digital across customer strategy, experience, data, technology, design and customer engagement, and will see collaboration across a range of One NZ teams.

Says Kayne Munro, head of membership, One NZ: “Phones are at the heart of how our customers connect to the people and things that they love, but affordability is becoming a real barrier. We’re committed to making it easier for all our customers to have the latest and greatest tech so they can live their best-connected lives.”

One Wallet launched to existing customers, and through One NZ stores, with a film made in partnership with production company, Assembly and a website that lets people find out their personal wallet balance. A mobile/in-store activation then invites people to find and scan codes to stack their balances. One NZ has already added around $37 million to One Wallets across the country as the service was switched on for their on-account customers, and new and exciting ways to earn are already underway.
