PHD Aotearoa has created a new position at the agency to further enhance its laser focus on client outcomes, with the appointment of Monica Wales as implementation director, plus two further promotions across its client service team.

Wales will lead the agency’s media implementation specialists in a new hub, and deliver best in class processes, implementation and automation solutions to deliver measurable results for clients. The creation of the hub also sees the launch of a talent nurture programme, to build on PHDs existing commitment to training and development for talent entering the industry.

Kirsty Turner has been promoted from group business director to client service director. Turner has an instrumental part of PHDs client leadership over the last nine years and has a track record of understanding clients’ business inside and out, with a focus on business solutions.

Hannah Merritt has been promoted from planning director to strategy director, following Brenden Hewitt’s move to lead the PHD Sydney strategy team. Merritt joins the five strong strategy team at PHD Aotearoa and brings strategic rigor and a passion for creativity benefiting a wider portfolio of the agency’s clients.

Commenting on the promotions, Abby Parkin, MD of PHD Aotearoa says: “These promotions reflect the investment in our people. The ability to recognise the phenomenal contribution these three have made to our business is not only great for PHD, but crucially gives our clients continuity and a continuation of the expertise and knowledge across their business.

“The newly created implementation director role is a game changer, and we’ve already seen an immediate impact with effectiveness and efficiency for our clients in the pilot stage. Not only will it result in flawless execution, it will also further enhance risk mitigation within implementation, which continues to be critical in a constantly evolving media landscape.”

The promotions and new position start with immediate effect.
