UnLtd Aotearoa, the social purpose organisation for the media, marketing and creative industry in New Zealand, is encouraging the industry to ‘drop your boss’, for a good cause.

UnLtd Aotearoa has recently announced Graeme Dingle Foundation as its new charity partner. The Graeme Dingle Foundation is a leading child and youth development charity that is empowering Aotearoa’s young people to succeed and overcome life’s obstacles.

Established nearly 30 years ago by Sir Graeme Dingle and Jo-anne Wilkinson, Lady Dingle, the Foundation reaches over 27,000 young people each year through research-based programmes that help build self-confidence, resilience, and promote good values and life skills.

Says Sheryl Dunlop, general manager of UnLtd Aotearoa: “We are thrilled to partner with Graeme Dingle Foundation and being able to help them grow awareness and funding for the critical work they do. Their passion for staying connected with young people, nurturing their resilience, and empowering them to overcome any obstacles they encounter is inspiring and effective.”

One of the Foundation’s main fundraisers is the annual ‘Drop Your Boss’ event that sees leaders take the leap off Auckland’s iconic Sky Tower, all in support of young people. The fundraiser event offers an opportunity for leaders to confront their fears, just as the young people in Graeme Dingle Foundation programmes overcome their own challenges.

Adds Dunlop: “We know our industry likes a challenge and who wouldn’t like to occasionally ‘drop their boss’, especially when it’s for a good cause! This is such a unique, empowering and fun way to challenge yourself whilst doing good. I encourage everyone in the industry to get involved!”

Says Jo Malcolm-Black, CEO at Graeme Dingle Foundation: “We are so excited to partner with UnLtd and the wider Aotearoa media industry to help us reach even more young Kiwis who need support. Being able to access the talent and skills in the advertising industry is something that charities can often only dream about and we can’t wait to see the impact we can generate together.”
