Experience and design agency Uno Loco adds two senior leaders as new owners

Experience and design agency Uno Loco Group has announced the addition of two of its senior leaders to its ownership group. Head of commercial Thea Farrant Adam (left) and head of finance Brenda Fairhall (right) have become newly appointed owners.

Uno Loco is an independent creative business made up of two sister studios in Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland. Uno Loco delivers unforgettable business events and experiences, and builders of powerful brands, stories, content and communications.

Uno Loco’s clients include Fonterra, Coca Cola, Woolworths, One New Zealand, Xero and Bayleys.

Says Blair Glubb, CEO, Uno Loco: “As a business we’re committed to sustainability over the long term. We’re recently B Corp certified, and we also think about how our ownership can grow and refresh over time. We’ve traded successfully for over 20 years, and a critical part of this is having our owners working in the business directly with our clients. It’s one of the reasons we’ve had long term relationships with some of New Zealand’s biggest businesses.”

Farrant Adam joined Hula in its infancy three years ago, helping build one of the fastest growing design agencies in Aotearoa New Zealand. Farrant Adam has a wealth of both agency and corporate experience, including head of B2B marketing for Australia’s Rest Industry Super Fund. Prior to Hula, Farrant Adam successfully established a profitable presence for Dave Clark Design in Sydney as general manager.

Farrant Adam sees huge opportunity in a creative agency environment that delivers impactful real-life human experiences for business, as well as helping them build consequential brands that resonate with consumers.

Fairhall is a highly experienced finance manager with both leadership and management experience. She joined Uno Loco as head of finance and operations 10 years ago, and her background includes senior finance and client services roles at Air NZ and HSBC. Fairhall’s been a key driver of Uno Loco’s work in becoming Toitu Carbon Zero and B Corp certified. She believes that economic success is non-negotiable, but that it can be delivered while having a positive impact for people and planet.

The last 12 months have been positive for Uno Loco Group, with Uno Loco winning NZEA’s Best Business Event of the Year for the One New Zealand Brand launch, Hula winning Best Awards for One New Zealand’s Onboarding Experience, and the agency being appointed as part of the All of Government panel.
