ANZ aims to spoil the Black Friday fraudster party in latest campaign via TBWA\NZ
With Black Friday and Cyber Monday sales well and truly inundating our eyes and ears from every angle, ANZ is helping customers in the fight against online credit card fraud with a new campaign created by TBWA\NZ.
The festive shopping period, while full of enticing deals, is also a prime target for fraudsters. As millions of Kiwis prepare to take advantage of Black Friday sales, ANZ’s innovative Dynamic Security Code offers a crucial line of defense against rising online fraud.
ANZ’s tactical campaign shines a spotlight on the increase in online credit card fraud during peak shopping periods. As highlighted by industry research, 15% of all global transactions were fraudulent during Black Friday 2022 (TransUnion), while Netsafe reported a 500% rise in credit card fraud during the 2021 holiday season.
The campaign highlights the shared excitement of Black Friday for both shoppers and fraudsters. Brought to life through radio and print, it illustrates how both sides mirror each other’s anticipation for the sales, and highlights how with ANZ’s Dynamic Security Code, the fraudster Black Friday party is over.
“We’re urging customers to be extra vigilant to the risk of scams and fraud when shopping online this festive season. Dynamic security code is another layer of fraud protection that helps Kiwis shop online with confidence”, says ANZ General Manager of Marketing, Matt Pickering.
“Black Friday has become one of the busiest times of the year for both consumers and fraudsters, and our campaign takes a sharp look at the risks, flipping the traditional festive narrative to show fraudsters’ plans unraveling thanks to Dynamic Security Code. It’s yet another layer of fraud protection from ANZ helping Kiwis shop online with confidence.” says Shane Bradnick, CCO of TBWA\NZ.
The campaign is running across key shopping moments; Black Friday, Cyber Monday with Boxing Day to follow, across radio, print and social media.
